My name is Sanna Weaver and I come from Athens, Greece. In 2018 I visited Bilbao, and I fell in love both with the Guggenheim Museum and the city itself. Since then, I live here and every single day I fall deeper with everything that has to do with the Basque Country.
I started my tours in 2020 and since 2022 I've been an official Tour Guide in the Basque Country. That way, I get to experience two of my biggest passions: meeting interesting people from all over the world and showing them around the places I love the most.
I have named my tours "Purple" not only because that's my favourite colour but mainly because purple is the colour of the alternative, the open-minded, deep thinking people. That's the kind of traveller I'm searching for my tours. I am a person who believes in human equality, sexual liberty, colour blind in skin colour and above all, I strongly believe that we are all equal under the light of the sun.
The tours I offer have been created by me based on what I would like to visit if I was a newcomer here. That's why I call them "alternative" as they do not have any "touristic" character. And for that, they are "purple".
I welcome everyone who would like to be introduced to the authentic life and the city rhythm of any of the places in the Basque Country. The Basque people are very proud of their land, their history, culture but above all, their unique language, Euskera. That's why I deeply respect them and that's what I want you to experience the authentic Basque identity.
